How To Avoid Heartbreak In Your Business

Our businesses are our babies. We nurture, challenge, grow, love and appreciate them. As business owners we experience a mix of emotions in every season. The highs we reach are incredible and the lows we face can feel defeating. Remembering to implement healthy practices and effective strategies are a great way to avoid heartbreak in your business.

The topic of the month revolves around ideal clients and attraction marketing. How well do you know your ideal clients and how are you currently attracting them?

Read on to learn tips for working with ideal clients and how to avoid heartbreak in your business.

AVOID HEARTBREAK IN YOUR BUSINESS

Not every prospect you will come across will become your ideal client.

Maybe you are just starting out and feel like you have to say YES to every prospect that comes your way. I have been the “Yes Girl” one too many times which has led me down a dark path more times than I’d like to admit. When we say yes to everything we often spread ourselves too thin leading to feeling burnt out. In our team’s experience, when we started saying NO to those who didn’t see our value and align with our model, we opened new doors for ideal opportunities.

Remember, marketing to everyone, means marketing to no one. Understanding who your ideal client is and knowing how to approach and capture them is key for landing the work you desire.

To avoid feeling miserable, frustrated, undervalued and heartbroken, take on the events that fulfill you. Our team is focusing on the word “JOY” this year as we approach every event, opportunity and partnership.

We challenge you to find those events that bring you joy, fill your cup and help further your growth.

LET’S TALK ABOUT IDEAL CLIENTS

Finding solutions to solve the problems of our clients is exactly what brings them to us. Our ideal clients need us. It is up to us to provide them the stepping stones needed to gain their trust and gain them as loyal clients.

Through attraction marketing, we are able to attract our ideal clients by understanding their wants, needs and pain points. Speaking to our target audience in the language they relate with is crucial. This terminology and communication helps to build client trust and loyalty.

To better serve your clients you need to understand how your ideal client thinks and operates. We can uncover this information through creating ideal client profiles.

Below are 6 questions to help you get started with creating an ideal client profile.

  1. WHAT ARE THEY SEARCHING FOR?

  2. WHAT SPECIFIC NEEDS DO THEY HAVE?

  3. WHAT ARE THEIR PAIN-POINTS?

  4. WHAT WEBSITES OR BLOGS DO THEY FREQUENT?

  5. WHERE DO THEY CONGREGATE?

  6. ARE THEY ACTIVE USERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Establish an ideal client profile that works for your business and then make sure your business aligns with that profile. Take a look at your business message, your website, offerings, pricing, marketing channels, do these align with your ideal client profile? Do a deep dive into your business, see what needs realigning and make those adjustments. You will be glad you did! :)

NEXT STEPS

Our clients want to be heard.

When we understand their feelings, needs and priorities, we are more than capable of delivering the desired results to them. Reaching this level of excellence will build your confidence and allow you to attract future ideal clients and opportunities. Taking the time to examine your current business strategies and see where you can improve will help you avoid future heartbreak.

Using a relatable language is so key to captivating your ideal clients. It is best not to take on every opportunity that may come your way if it does not serve you and your business. Find a niche that works for you and stay true to that. Your ideal clients are looking for their needs to be met and their problems to be solved. The more concise you are in relaying your expertise and message, the better.
