We are so delighted to highlight our September Educator of the month, Sweet Root Village!
They are sweet, they are kind, they are so very talented!
We love getting to work with them, learn from them and follow them on their journey of bringing floral dreams to life! They are incredibly creative and their skill sets are off the charts! We are grateful to have such wonderful women as a part of our Fleursociety Community and we are so excited for you to learn more about them!

SWEET ROOT VILLAGE :)
Lauren Anderson and Rachel Bridgwood are the co-founders of Sweet Root Village.
Based in Alexandria, VA they and their team operate out of an incredible studio space! We’re talking high ceilings, lots of natural light, open and airy vibes, vases galore, rows of high tops tables and so much more! Who wouldn’t want to design in a space like that?! #GOALS
Established back in 2010, they have since built a team filled with like minded creatives including their designers, Hannah Mccarrier & Daylen Rivera as well as their Warehouse Manager, Joseph Moschella.
Lauren and Rachel are firm believers in the power of community. They have worked to grow a business that fosters relationships utilizing their passion for floral design and service. We love that they are so intentional about their clients and the passion they bringforth with each and every project, event, celebration, etc., They are humble, they are generous, they are family oriented and they are driven. Being able to learn from such strong and passionate women is a part of why we love this community so much! It is so close-knit and there is so much support coming from all sides that we are forever grateful for.
Bonded together in business and motherhood, Lauren is a wife to her husband, Kirk, and a Mama to 2 boys, Walter & Nelson and Rachel is a wife to her husband, Thomas, and a Mama to her 2 sweet babes, Amelia & Jude. We love that these women are hard working entrepreneurs and business owners yet still find the time to prioritize and intertwine their families within their line of work. Family is truly everything!
Fun Facts… Rachel is also an avid blogger like we are here at Fleursociety and Lauren can antique thrift like no other! We are here for that!

Sweet Root Villages provides Custom Floral Design Services for Events, Weddings, Storefronts, Pop-Ups, Branding Projects, Products and more. They also design for Intimate Weddings both on a large and small scale. So sweet!
We love that they pride themselves on specializing in the innovation they bring creatively to every floral design opportunity. Some favorite styles they have created and designed for include but are not limited to Wintery Neutrals, Modern Minimalist, D.C. Sophistication, Backyard In Autumn, Playful Botanic, Timeless Grace, Organic & Seasonal and Chic & Glam. They really can do it all and they bring so much finesse and artistry to everything they touch!

In addition to being wonderful florists and designers, Lauren & Rachel are also floral educators! Ya love to see it! They have educational resources that they provide through a monthly subscription program that includes a variety of design tutorials, floral recipes, hacks, tips, business advice, design templates and more! They have structured their educational program to include everything you need to know about designing, the mechanics for installations, stem counts, bouquets, recipes, centerpieces, the list goes on!
