This month is all about the How-To’s for your websites! How to create your brand story, how to streamline your services, how to create a language that speaks to your ideal clients, how to qualify your ideal clients etc.,

As we work to improve our websites, it’s important you take the time to establish your expertise, showcase the solutions you offer to your prospects and future clients and position yourself in a manner that you stand out with your offerings further creating a sales funnel that converts.

FIND YOUR NICHE

As we have been discussing in these last few weeks, it’s important to establish your brand story. Creating your brand story will allow you to create and share your offerings with your viewers. Your brand story will allow you to clarify your message on your website of what you do, who you do it for and who you serve, your offerings.

It’s important that we work to really niche down into concepts that work for us. We can restructure the way we do business more efficiently and effectively if we hone in on our brand stories and work to speak using the language that relates to our ideal clients.

It’s never too late to start learning and implementing new business processes and tools. Getting your website just right is a piece by piece process that takes time, dedication and patience so go easy on yourself and take the time to create quality websites!

It’s important to find your way from the very beginning- your true north star-
and stay connected to it as you evolve and navigate your career.

GETTING STARTED

  • RESEARCH YOUR MARKET & COMPETITORS: Know and do your own research within your competitive market. Understand the market and be in the know of what your competitors are up to so that you can differentiate yourself and find your own voice and strategies.

  • CREATE UNIQUE FACTOR: You want to be able to create a unique factor in what you do on your website, in the consultation, in the inquiry process, all of that, so that you stand out. Don’t be complacent with blending in, find a differentiator that works for you especially in your local areas!

  • CONDUCT SURVEYS WITH PAST CLIENTS: Reach out to those clients you enjoyed working with. Have them complete a survey for you. Ask them about the process, their experience, etc., These surveys will provide you with valuable information that will reveal what helped sell you and your business to your ideal clients.

  • USE SURVEY DATA TO EXTRACT LANGUAGE / PAIN POINTS: Use the information from your client surveys and testimonials to provide you with the information you can extract and use on your website. Use keywords that will highlight your vision and mission statement while also speaking to your ideal clients.

  • EVALUATE YOUR NEEDS / WANTS: This is a crucial part of your business outline. We need to think about our needs. What is your need as a floral designer and who do you want to serve? How many events do you want to do per year? What are your revenue goals per year?

  • DETERMINE HOW LARGE / SMALL YOU WANT TO OPERATE: Everybody's goals, margins, pricing and process is different. Find what works best for you and your business and stay true to that throughout your processes.

  • CALCULATE OVERHEAD COSTS: Understanding your overhead costs will allow you to plan accordingly for your pricing and services. Make sure you are realistic with your costs and stay organized and on top of things.

  • BUDGET ACCORDINGLY: Create a budget and plan that will allow you to be profitable and successful! Know your costs up front and what that is going to look like. Create your boundaries and stay true to what you put on your website. Do not be afraid to say no to things that do not fit your brand and your vision for ideal clients.

We have to do our job of standing out and being unique, but being very clear on who you serve and being very clear on how that process works to eliminate the price shoppers, people who are going to ghost you in the process and people who are not going to be a good fit. Speak to your ideal clients and they will follow and listen to your voice!

4 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

  1. What Do I Want To Be Known For?

  2. What Sets Me Apart From Others?

  3. What Sets Me Apart Locally In My Particular Area?

  4. What Aspect Of My Business Do I Want to Excel & Stand Out? (flowers, pricing, client experience, grandiose, luxury, etc.,)

Finding your unique concept will allow you to blossom and stand out from the crowd. Someone is going to appreciate your unique concept that sets you apart from the competitive market and book you because of it.

Take the time to grow in your process, find what makes you YOU and you will boost the confidence needed to grow your business!

The good news is that confidence can be learned.

QUALIFY. QUALIFY. QUALIFY.

Qualifying your ideal clients right from the very start is so vital to be efficient, effective and successful! You can weed out those who are not the right fit for you and your business right from the very beginning. As you speak your brand language on your website, your ideal clients will get the message, read that language you have shared and those words will resonate with them and draw them in.

We are selling a service and a product but most importantly we are selling services. If you are trying to attract your ideal client, work to qualify those prospects who value the client experience and value the abundance of your business, ex: flowers. We want our clients to value the whole experience from top to bottom.

When you know your clients are a great fit that is when you can focus your time and efforts on the nurture series of their client journey!

SERVICES / OFFERINGS TO CONSIDER

  1. Floral Design

  2. Event Design

  3. Planning / Coordination

  4. Rentals

  5. Education

For your website allow your viewers the opportunity to be informed on the different services and offerings you provide. Separate these services and share the information needed to inform and qualify your clients. This information should route your viewers in the right direction.
